Before signing up for Learn to Skate Hockey 1-4 or Hockey Power Skating- Read This!

All Learn to Skate Hockey students must complete Snow Plow Sam 1-4 (for ages 5 and under) & Basic 1-4 before signing up for Hockey 1-4 or Hockey Power Skating. After consulting with hockey and skating coaches it was determined that all students need to have a mastery of the basic skills of skating before moving on to the finer details of hockey skating. To help you navigate the exciting, but sometimes confusing, world of youth hockey Appleton Ice, Inc., the Appleton Area Hockey Association & the Fox Valley Youth Hockey Association worked together to create this hockey progression (See the link: Play Hockey!) in order to give students the best hockey and skating experience possible. A quick summary of this progressions is:

Step 1: LTS Basic 1-4 (Snow Plow Sam1-4)

Step 2: LTS Hockey 1-4 & Hockey Power Skating

Step 3: Learn to Play Hockey (You can test out of LTS if you have an advanced skater and move right to this program or do both LTS Hockey 2-4+ Power Skating at the same time as Learn to Play). To register for Learn to Play, click on the Programs link and then Learn to Play Hockey.

Step 4: Youth Hockey Association
