 MISSION
Appleton Ice Clinics will provide each participant the opportunity to develop individual hockey skills in a challenging and fun environment.  Instructors will help develop skill based upon the individuals level.  Appleton Ice is committed to an excellent teacher ratio to create as many "one on one" situations as possible.  This will be accomplished by providing one instructor for every 5 students.

 

Skating is the success of all hockey players looking to improve their game. Comprehensive & Progressive teaching – Stance, Body Posture, Balance, Forward Stride, Backward Stride, Edges, Crossovers & Power.

 

SKATING & CONDITIONING (7.5 hours on Ice) - $100.00

 

      August 25-29, 2008         A.  Mite/Squirt                       8:00-9:20AM

                                                 B.   Peewee/Bantam           9:30-10:50AM

 

 

DEFENSEMEN CLINIC (10 hours on Ice) - $125.00
Defensemen Skating – backwards, skating, pivots, tight turns, lateral movement, angles, gap control.  Shooting/passing – puck control, point shots, passing, communication.

Situation play – 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, angles gap control, read & react, positional play.

      June 9 – 13, 2008        C.  All Kid Levels                  1:00-3:00PM

 

 

STICKHANDLING, SHOOTING, SCORING CLINIC (7.5 hours on Ice) - $100.00

Skating – balance – stride recovery, acceleration, edge control & timing. Puck skills, stick & puck positioning, puck protection, puck handling, fakes/dekes, passing, receiving, evasive moves.

 

Scoring skills – shooting in stride, deception, accuracy, quick release, reading the opponent, finding ice, body positioning.

MITES/MINI MITE CAMP (8 hours on Ice) - $100

Program – skating, passing & receiving, puck handling, shooting, checking, fun games & scrimmages.

 

- Daily Format - 30 minutes skills & 20 minutes scrimmage

- Limited to 28 skaters and 4 goalies
